About Me: Teaching Teaching Middle School and upper elementary school grades in three different school systems has given me a first-hand knowledge of how students read and use indexes in the books and textbooks of those grades. Formal Education I have a certificate in Indexing from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. My bachelor’s degree in English is from Calvin College, and a master’s degree in education is from Western Michigan University. An additional five courses in English and writing are from Michigan State University. Languages Background Since I was born in the Netherlands and lived there until the age of ten I have learned the Dutch and Frisian languages. I also have a reading knowledge of German. Hobbies My interests include playing golf, walking, bike riding, reading, traveling, and learning new things.
